Tajik Defense Minister, Colonel – General Sherali Hairulloev met with Tajik labor migrants who currently live in Sochi and involved in the construction of Olympic facilities.
Tajik minister told compatriots about current socio-economic and political and humanitarian development of the country, described current situation in Gorno-Badakhshan region and told about the recently signed Agreement on the status and dislocation of the Russian military base in Tajikistan, Office of the Tajik Government’s Migration Service in Russia told AP.
“Minister Hairulloev asked Tajik migrants to observe Russian migration legislation. Deputy Chief of Sochi Police Department Andrei Sirotkin, who also attended the meeting, expressed his satisfaction with behavior of Tajik migrants and said that Tajik citizens obey the law and commit very few crimes,” the source has said.
The source added that the meeting was organized in collaboration with the Tajik public organization “Assistance” and the Office of the Tajik Government’s Migration Service in Russia.
One of AP’s sources reported that Tajik Defense Minister is currently on vacation.
