DUSHANBE, December 30, 2012, Asia-Plus – Tajik-Iranian joint venture for producing disposable syringes has been launched in Dushanbe.
The enterprise with capacity of producing 120 million disposable syringes per year was officially introduced into operation on December 28, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
An official source at a MoH says the enterprise consists of five production workshops, one sterilizing workshop, on laboratory and two warehouses for storing disposable syringes.
According to him, Tajik-Iranian joint venture, Oryon-Syringe Medical LTD, has delivered 5 million somoni worth of the state-of-the art equipment for production of disposable syringes and spent 3 million somoni for renovation of the building. “The enterprise has created more than 80 new jobs,” the source added.
According to data from the MoH, 15 private enterprises producing 80 items of medicines and medical accessories now operate in Tajikistan. More than 40 specialists work with these enterprises.
