KULOB, January 5, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The Norak-based private enterprise, Gidromontazh, has begun to manufacture output for the Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP), Norak Mayor Homid Abdulloyev told Asia-Plus Saturday afternoon.
According to him, 300,000 U.S. dollars have been spent to rehabilitate the plant and provide it with new equipment.
“Local engineering development plant has also been rehabilitated,” said the mayor. “The plant owners have spent 700,000 U.S. dollars for its rehabilitation.”
The plant now produces electrodes, liquid nitrogen, oxygen, roofing slates, wire netting and even barbed wire, Abdulloyev noted.
According to him, eleven local enterprises, including cannery that had not been in operation since 1993, have been rehabilitated since the past year.
