KULOB, January 14, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Kulob electricity debts rose 7.4555 million somoni (including the public debt amounting to 5.7555 million somoni and a 1.7 million debt of local enterprises) in a year to January 1, 2013, reaching 30.2965 million somoni, Jumakhon Sharipov, head of the Kulob power supply network, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
As of January 1, 2013, the public electricity debts reportedly amounted to 23.4517 million somoni.
Sharipov noted that the low rate of the collection of funds from the public and enterprises evoked serious concern. Last year, the rate of the collection of funds was 57 percent, the Kulob power supply network director said.
