DUSHANBE, February 26, 2013, Asia-Plus -- An offer from some MPs representing the Communist Party in Russia’s lower house (State Duma) of parliament to introduce visa requirements fro migrants from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan is absolutely absurd, Tajik Communist leader Shodi Shabdolov, who is also deputy of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon), told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, these offers are nothing but public posturing.
“Judging by absurd statements made by some representatives of the Communist Party of Russia, they are not well aware of realties of today’s Russia,” Shabdolov said. “The statement that Russia allegedly has enough manpower is just a lie. Any sober politician or economist realizes that Russia today cannot do without labor migrants.”
