DUSHANBE, March 15, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Russian non-governmental association is expected to open its office in Tajikistan.
According to Tajik migration service agency’s press center, this issue was discussed at a meeting of Mr. Safiallo Devonayev, Head of the Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan with Mr. Nikolay Alisov, Directro General of Russian Foundation for Development of International Cooperation, Dobrososedstvo (Neighborliness), which took place here on March 15.
Mr. Alisov, who is also member of the Public Council at the Russian Federal Migration Service (FMS)’s Office for Moscow Oblast, reportedly noted that Dobrososedstvo was a non-governmental organization and they closely cooperated with FMS on regulation of the labor migration process in Russia.
“We provide free assistance to labor migrants,” Alisov noted.
The Dobrososedtsvo director general arrived in Dushanbe to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between his Foundation and Tajik migration service agency.
Alisov, in particular, noted that that document would give them an opportunity to protect labor migrants’ rights, provide regularly exchange information about employers in Russia and render legal and social assistance to the Tajik labor migrants in Russia.
The sides also discussed a broad range of issues related to expansion of cooperation on regulation of the labor migration process and protection of interests of Tajik labor migrants working in the Russian Federation legally, the source added.
They reportedly reached an agreement on opening of Dobrososedstvo’s office in Tajikistan.
