DUSHANBE, April 24, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe mayor’s office is seriously concerned over the juvenile crime increase in the city.
“By mayor’s order an enlarged meeting of school principals took place at the Dushanbe Children’s Center on April 23,” said Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office. “Senior representatives of the law enforcement agencies and members of parent-teachers’ associations also attended the meeting, presided over by Deputy Mayor, Ms. Sanavbar Rahimova.”
The meeting participants discussed issues related to crimes among youth, especially among school students.
The participants decided to hold such meetings every month in order to strengthen ties of schools with associations and parent-teachers’ associations, Saidov said.
