DUSHANBE, May 15, 2013, Asia-Plus -- An official website of the Islamic Revival Party of Tajikistan (IRP) is still inaccessible.
In response to IRP’s letter, the communications service agency head, Beg Zuhurov, noted that his agency had not given any instruction to block the site.
Zuhurov suggested that the issue might have been caused by technical problems faced by the Internet Service Providers themselves.
Mahmoudjon Fayzrahmonov, who is responsible for IRP’s website, notes that Zuhurov’s reply is not quite clear and illogical. “We have contract with Babilon-T but the site is not available via other providers as well,” Fayzrahmonov said.
The IRP’s website has been inaccessible within the TJ domain zone since April 25. As of April 25, the website could be accessed only by using proxy servers, he added.
Before that, Tajik authorities blocked the IRP’s website on March 11. The site was later unblocked. The Communications Regulatory Agency head Qadamjon Safiyev said at that time that the IRP’s website was inaccessible for technical problems.
