DUSHANBE, July 9, 2013, Asia-Plus -- On Monday July 8, Safiallo Devonayev, Head of the Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan, met here with Vladislav Kurnushko, head of Rossotrudnichestvo’s office in Tajikistan.
According to the Tajik migration service agency press center, the sides exchanged views on issues related to increase in the number of the Russian language centers in Tajikistan and technical modernization of these centers.
In the course of the talks, Devonayev noted that Rossotrudnichestvo could assist with implementation of pilot projects for training of Tajik labor migrants in Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
For his part, the Rossotrudnichestvo representatives noted that a delegation from Russia’s Tomsk oblast was in Tajikistan last month and they are ready to take it on themselves to train potential migrant workers in Tajikistan.
Priorities of cooperation between Tajik migration service agency and Rossotrudnichestvo reportedly include organizing Russian language courses for Tajik labor migrants at the agency’s offices in Dushanbe, Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa, assisting with establishment of consultative centers for training of labor migrants, assisting with improvement of material and technical resources of Tajik vocational and technical schools, etc.
The Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation, commonly known as Rossotrudnichestvo, is an autonomous Russian federal government agency under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The agency was set up by Presidential decree, signed by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on 6 September 2008, with the aim of maintaining Russia''s influence in the Commonwealth of Independent States, and to foster friendly ties for the advancement of Russia''s political and economic interests in foreign states.
