DUSHANBE, July 25, 2013, Asia-Plus – Tajik public association, The Independent Human Rights Center, has launched the project, Legal Aspects of Access to Information.
According to press release issued by the Independent Human Rights Center, the project is being implemented under financial support of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
The main objective of the project is in assisting members of Tajikistan''s nongovernmental organization, Coalition against Torture, with getting access to socially significant information and information about activities of the authorities.
Journalists may apply for legal advice and support to the following e-mail: [email protected] .
Besides, a free legal advice office will function in Dushanbe to make available information and legal consultations to members of the Coalition against Torture and journalists covering torture-related issues.
