DUSHANBE, July 30, 2013, Asia-Plus -- All imams (leaders of prayers in mosques) in the Bokhtar district, Khatlon province will receive lands for launching farming units.
According to the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s organization for Khatlon, Bokhtar chairman Abduhalim Ismoilov stated this during a meeting with the public on July 29. All the 186 imams of the district attended the meeting.
“This initiative is aimed at giving the district clerics an opportunity to maintain their families,” the source said, adding that the main aspects of the president’s meeting with Tajik clerics were also discussed.
