DUSHANBE, August 1, 2013, Asia-Plus – University entrance exams started in Tajikistan today.
Safarboy Rasoulov, an official with the Ministry of Education (MoE), says 37 higher educational institutions functioning in the country may accept 37,500 students this year.
According to the preliminary data, Tajik higher educational institutions have received applications from 36,000 entrants.
1,220 presidential quotas have been allotted to residents of remote districts, including 628 girls, for the 2013 academic year.
This year, 109,527 students finished secondary schools in Tajikistan.
