DUSHANBE, August 1, 2013, Asia-Plus -- More than 3,400 foreigners have got work permit in Tajikistan over the first six months of this year, Anvar Boboyev, the first deputy head of Tajik migrations service agency, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on August 1.
The listed sectors where foreigners work are trade (784 people), construction (542), production (441), public catering and service (272), agriculture (149), public health and sports (119), geology (32), education (19). Besides, 986 foreigners have got permit to work in others sectors.
“Meanwhile, administrative protocols have been lodged against 418 foreigners over the report period, including 141 nationals of China, 62 nationals of Uzbekistan, 49 nationals of Afghanistan, 40 nationals of Russia, 34 nationals of Kyrgyzstan, 27 nationals of Pakistan and 12 nationals of Iran,” Boboyev noted.
According to him, they jointly with officers from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and State Committee for National Security (SCNS) have made a raid to combat illegal migration and human trafficking, dubbed “Nelegal 2013” (Illegal Migrant 2013), over the same six-month period and activities of more than 5,000 foreign nationals have been inspected during the raid.
