DUSHANBE, September 17, 2013, Asia-Plus /Payrav Chorshanbiyev/ – Forty-two countries of the world have provided more than 54.6 million U.S. dollars worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first eight months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 64.6 percent, the Russian Federation – 11.3 percent, the Netherlands – 3.2 percent; China – 2.9 percent; the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – 2.7 percent, Denmark – 2.3 percent; Austria – 1.8 percent, Korea – 1.3 percent, the United Kingdom – 1.2 percent, Germany – 1.1 percent; Iran and India – 0.9 percent each; Latvia – 0.8 percent; Ukraine – 0.7 percent; Kazakhstan – 0.6 percent; France – 0.5 percent; Pakistan – 0.4 percent; Turkey, Israel, Afghanistan, Spain, and Malaysia – 0.2 percent each; etc.
