DUSHANBE, September 17, 2013, Asia-Plus – Tajik known musician and composer Yaikhel Sabzanov died in New York aged 84 and funeral service for Yaikhel Sabzanov was held at the Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels on September 11.
Born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan in 1929, Yaikhel Sabzanov graduated from the Tashkent (Uzbekistan) Conservatory in 1995. From 1955 to 1992, Yaikhel Sabzanov worked in Tajikistan. Since 1992, Professor Sabzanov had lived in New York, the United States.
Professor Yaikhel Sabzanov made a valuable contribution to development of the musical art of Tajikistan. The Bukharian Times noted that melodies written by Yaikhel Sabzanov had become a part of gold fund of Tajik musical culture.
