DUSHANBE, November 11, 2013, Asia-Plus – On November 8, U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan, Ms. Susan M. Elliott, participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly renovated facilities at the Health Rehabilitation Boarding School of Roudaki District.
According to the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, the $45,000 renovations included new shower and laundry facilities and a reconstructed water tank. Over 500 children from ages 7 through 16 receive primary education and basic medical treatments at the school.
Since 1992, the American people have provided more than $1 billion in programs and humanitarian aid that support Tajikistan’s democratic institutions, health care, education and economic growth.
