DUSHANBE, September 4, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Deputies of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament, Ms. Sabohat Muqimova and Mr. Abdurahmon Khonov, have held a number of meeting with Tajik labor migrants working in the Russian Federation, according to the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment (MLME)’s office in Moscow.

The main purpose of the meetings was for the parliamentarians to get acquainted with conditions of work and life of Tajik migrant workers in the Russian Federation.

Muqimova and Khonov have reportedly held meetings with labor migrants working in Moscow and Yekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk oblast)

In Moscow, the parliamentarians also held talks with Tajik Ambassador to Russia Imomuddin Sattorov to share their view of ways of solving issues related to protection of rights and interests of Tajik labor migrants.
