DUSHANBE, October 30, 2014, Asia-Plus -- The Facebook social network is inaccessible in Tajikistan again.
Representatives of Internet service providers (ISPs) say they received written instructions from the communications service agency to block more than 50 websites, including Facebook, Vkontakte, Topnews.tj and Yandex news.
Meanwhile, senior representatives of the government’s Communications Service say that the communications service agency had not given any instructions to block the sites. They suggested that the issue might have been caused by technical problems faced by ISPs themselves.
It is already the third time the Facebook social network has been blocked in Tajikistan this month. It was blocked by the ISPs on October 5 and 13.
