DUSHANBE, March 20, 2015, Asia-Plus - Tajikistan’s NGOs dealing with labor migration issue has applied to the government asking to organize public hearings over the country’s labor migration legislation.
They, in particular, note that the draft labor migration legislation contains provisions that have not been discussed with the country’s civil society.
“In this connection, we consider that public hearings would ensure participation of civil society in discussion of the labor migration legislation,” the NGOs said, noting that public hearings promote development of specialized legislation in the country.
Twelve NGOs have signed the letter.
