DUSHANBE, April 15, 2015, Asia-Plus – German Embassy in Dushanbe has officially commented on a rally that took place in front of the Embassy Wednesday morning.
A statement released by the German Embassy, in particular, notes that about 15-20 people, mostly young men and women, gathered outside the Embassy building. They were reportedly knocking on the bars and bullet proof glasses.
The protesters goals and motives were not known. German Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Holger Gren, was ready to receive two delegates of the protestors but this did not bring into conversation because those gathered behaved themselves very emotionally and the Embassy did not open an entrance door for reasons of security, the statement says.
“We formed the impression that the rally participants themselves did not know what for or against what they come out. We can only hazard a guess at the rally motives. The rally participants dispersed after police came,” the statement notes.
