DUSHANBE, November 23, 2015, Asia-Plus – Thirty-eight countries of the world have provided 34.9 million U.S. dollars worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first ten months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the same ten-month period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from Germany – 25 percent; Russia – 10 percent; the Netherlands – 9.7 percent, China – 9.2 percent; Denmark – 7.8 percent; the United States – 7.6 percent; the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – 5.1 percent; India – 3.5 percent; Afghanistan – 3.0 percent; Austria – 2.9 percent; Latvia – 2.0 percent; Iran, France, and Switzerland – 1.7 percent each; Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan – 1.4 percent each; Kazakhstan – 1.2 percent; Norway – 0.9 percent; Greece – 0.8 percent; and others.
