DUSHANBE, January 15, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik national television channels now can be picked up in 38 countries across the world, Khurshed Habibov, Director of Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Teleradiokom (Tajik national TV and radio operator) at the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting, told reporters in Dushanbe on January 15.
“In twenty-four countries, including Central Asia’s nations, Russia and some countries of Eastern Europe, Tajik national TV channels can be viewed in full volume, while in thirteen countries of Western Europe and Asia they can be picked up partially,” Habibov said.
It is also possible to view Tajik national TV channels through Internet, Tajik official added.
To-date, only 54 percent of Tajikistan’s population has got access to digital TV broadcasting.
