KHUJAND, August 8, 2016, Asia-Plus - 30 female entrepreneurs from the northern Sughd province have received grants totaling 200,000 somoni from local authorities.
The grant awarding ceremony took place in Khujand on August 5 and the winners received grants of between 5,000 and 10,000 somoni.
In all, 61 local female entrepreneurs, including weavers and carpet-makers, participated in the contest.
Over the last three years, 75 local female entrepreneurs have reportedly been awarded grants totaling 600,000 somoni.
