A dust storm warning has been announced in Tajikistan, Tajikistan’s Hydrometeorological Service (Hydromet) said on July 11.
A dust storm is expected to hit the central and southern Tajikistan from July 11-13. In some areas, the wind gusts will be up to 18 meters per second.
Weather forecasters also say that there is risk of mudflows and flooding in some mountain areas of the country that can lead to increase in the water level in Vakhsh, Panj, Zarafshon and Ghund rivers.
