Asian-Express has promise dot resume the Dushanbe-Tursunzoda bus route which has been closed since late August.
Residents of Tursunzoda working in Dushanbe or studying at metropolitan universities now have difficulties in getting to the places of work or studying.as there are no buses, there are few fixed-route taxis and private cab drivers have raised prices.
Citizens of Uzbekistan visiting also have difficulties in traveling to Tajikistan.
Bus routes launched by Asian-Express Company from Dushanbe to the Uzbek cities of Termez and Denau have not met expectations while the Dushanbe-Pakhtaobod train is not popular among passengers due to inconvenient schedule.
Due to lack of alternative transport means, private cab drivers have raised prices from 15 somoni to 25 somoni.
Meanwhile, Asian-Express says he Dushanbe-Tursunzoda bus route has been closed for technical reasons and it will be resumed within the next few days.
