Two Tajik theaters have participated in the 40th Fajr International Theater Festival (FITF) in Tehran.
The Tajik Embassy in Tehran says actors of Abulqosim Lohouti State Academic Drama Theater from Dushanbe and Mehrubon Nazarov State Theater of Music and Comedy from Khorog participated in the international theater festival in Tehran.
Abulqosim Lohouti State Academic Drama Theater presented the performance “Firdawsi” to the Iranian audience and Mehrubon Nazarov Mehrubon Nazarov State Theater of Music and Comedy presented the performance “Lali Badakhshon” to the Iranian audience.
The Iranian side reportedly expressed satisfaction with the visit of Tajik theater actors and highly appreciated the performances presented by Tajik actors to the Iranian audience.
Established din 1983, Fajr International Theater is held annually in Iran, featuring local and international theatrical works and performers. This festival has a competitive form and contains different sections including International performances, local staging, playwriting, radio performances, street theater, theater photography, etc.
Ministry of Culture, Performing Arts Center, ITI, Theater Forum, The House of Iranian Artists, etc. are main performers of this international theater festival.
The 40th 12-day Fajr Theater Festival rolled down curtain with awards ceremony on February 16.
Iranian media reports say theater troupes from Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Italy, France, Algeria and several other countries participated in the 40th edition of Fajr festival.
