A delegation of the Russian Federation, headed by  headed by Denis Vasiliyev, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment, arrived in Dushanbe on April 8 to discuss issues related to labor migration and to get acquainted with Tajikistan’s capabilities in training specialists for employment abroad.

The Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population (MoLMEP)’s press center says the delegation members included representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Passport and Visa Service" of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as various companies and organizations (employers).

On April 9, the guests reportedly visited the Skills Development Center in the Danghara district to learn about the training process for Tajik citizens preparing to work abroad, including in the Russian Federation.  During the visit, they toured the facility, which includes an educational-administrative building, dormitory, vocational training workshops, auxiliary facilities, and a sports ground.  They also observed classes being held for professional and language training.

According to the Center’s activity report, four new and modern centers were launched last year to train specialists in line with the demands of both domestic and international labor markets.  In addition to vocational training, these centers also offer foreign language instruction.

During the visit, members of the Russian delegation exchanged views on pressing issues of bilateral cooperation and expressed their readiness for continued collaboration.
