Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said Moscow hopes that NATO will show restraint on the development of relations with Georgia.
Commenting on the NATO exercises in Georgia, Nesterenko said, “NATO’s exercises in Georgia cannot arouse concern. NATO’s patronage to Georgia has been interpreted as a license for permissiveness.”
“Moscow hopes that NATO partners will properly realise Russia’s position and refrain from encouraging Georgia’s ambitions,” Nesterenko stressed.
