Ten lodgers of illegal hostel in the Novosergeyevka settlement in Leningrad oblast have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Fourteen others are still in question. In all, 472 labor migrants lived in that hostel.
The illegal hostel has been revealed in a raid made by representatives of Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), Investigative Committee and police, according to TASS.
The press service of the Leningrad oblast government has confirmed that ten lodgers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and fourteen others are still in question.
Speaking at a briefing, Leningrad oblast governor Alexander Drozdenko called that case “an infectious bomb” and warned of sharp increase in the number of coronavirus-infected people in Leningrad oblast.
