DUSHANBE, May 19, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Thursday May 19, President Emomali Rahmon held a meeting to discuss preparations for the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, which will be marked on September 9 this year.
According to the presidential press service, Deputy Prime Minister, Ms. Ruqiya Qurbonova reported on work that had been carried out to adequately celebrate the country’s anniversary.
She, in particular, noted that new buildings for the National Public Library and the National Museum would be put in commission ahead of the Independence Day.
