DUSHANBE, June 13, 2011, Asia-Plus - The forthcoming Russian President’s visit to Tajikistan will give a new impulse to the development and strengthening of our bilateral and mutually beneficial cooperation, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon wrote in his telegram to Dmitry Medvedev on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation.
In the past period brotherly Russia has managed to achieve impressive results in its economic development, improvement of people’s wealth and development of culture and education, President Rahmon said in his message.
“Russian Federation enjoys the deserved authority at the international arena and speaks for global peace, security and stability. Within the frameworks of the Commonwealth of Independent States Russian Federation initiates ideas aimed at further integration and global development of relations between member states,” the Tajik Leader has said.
President of Tajikistan stressed that “with great satisfaction I would like to note that Tajik-Russian relations, which are based on solid traditions of friendship and mutual respect and which have century-long roots, continue to develop in the interests of the two states and nations. We are firm that we are able to enrich this invaluable heritage with a new content in harmony with the demands and requirements of modern dynamic times.”
