DUSHANBE, August 3, 2011, Asia-Plus  -- First Deputy Prime Minister has been hospitalized in serious condition.

A well-informed source in the government told Asia-Plus the Asadullo Ghulomov who was traveling by helicopter to one of facilities under construction today was hospitalized in serious condition.  He was diagnosed as having suffered a stroke.

“Doctors assess his health condition as serious,” the source said.

Born on February 28, 1954, Asadullo Ghulomov received his early education in Danghara district before graduating in 1976 from Tajik Technical Institute.  In 2005, he took training course at Russia’s Public Management Academy in Moscow.

Asadullo Ghulomov has served as First Deputy Prime Minister since December 2006.

He is married with four children.
