DUSHANBE, August 27, 2011, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon visited Jirgatol district as part of his short tour of the Rasht Valley on August 26.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state attended a ceremony of opening of a new building for the branch of closed joint-stock company Tajprombank (commercial industrial bank for reconstruction and development) in the district.
Twenty people will work with Tajprombank’s branch in Jirgatol and its loan portfolio now amounts to 8.9 million somoni. Loans have been provided mainly to local farmers and entrepreneurs.
Deposits for a total amount of more than 1.3 million somoni are now kept at the branch of Tajprombank in Jirgatol, the source said.
President Rahmon also attended a ceremony of an official of opening of a new building of the Jirgatol central district hospital and a new building of the local health center.
