DUSHANBE, September 2, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Farm produce fairs are being held in Dushanbe on September 2 and 3 on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, which is marked on September 9, the Dushanbe mayor’s office reports.
Main celebrations (military parade and festive march) to mark the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence will take place in Dousti (Friendship) Square on September 9. A theatrical show will be held at the Republican Stadium in the evening of the same day.
Besides, festive events will be held in Dushanbe’s districts, the source said.
