DUSHANBE, September 30, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon’s four-day working visit to the northern Sughd province concluded yesterday.
On Thursday, the head of state visited the health resort, Bahoriston, located on the shore of the Qairoqqum Reservoir, the presidential press service reports.
Rahmon inaugurated two new buildings in the health resort. 170 people are working with the two new buildings and the Bahoriston health resort is now able to accommodate more than 600 visitors in one shift.
Annual tax receipts from the health resort to the local budget will amount to some 200,000 somoni, the source said.
Yesterday morning, President Rahmon also got acquainted with work of cotton and rice growers in Bobojonghafurov district.
During the meeting with cotton growers, the president stressed once again that school students must not abandon their studies to work the cotton harvest.
