DUSHANBE, January 19, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Deputies of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament have unanimously endorsed the draft law on the innovative activity.
A regular sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation, presided over by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov, was held on January 19.
Presenting the bill, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Farrukh Hamraliyev said the law is dedicated to promote increase in production capacity of the country and strengthening of competitiveness of Tajik goods in global markets.
“Meanwhile, at present imports prevail exports in Tajikistan nearly 2.5 times,” the minister noted.
He noted that the law provides for creation of an innovation fund and this year’s budget has earmarked more than 32 million somoni for development of innovative technologies.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov noted that means earmarked by the budget for development of innovative technologies are miserable with regard to their significance for Tajikistan.
