DUSHANBE, March 7, 2012, Asia-Plus -- A regular sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the fourth convocation, presided over by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov, is being held today.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says MPs will consider a draft law requiring amendments to the country’s law on the national budget for 2012. Sultonov said the amendments were initiated by the government. He, however, refrained from giving more details.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon is also expected to consider draft laws on coal mining and credit organizations as well a draft resolution on the lower house’s bodies.
Parliamentarians will also consider the issue of ratification of the CIS agreement on combating human trafficking, Sultonov said.
