DUSHANBE, April 4, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Joint meeting of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) and the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) will take place on April 20, according to the Majlisi Namoyandagon press service.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says representatives of the government as well as diplomatic missions and international organizations active in the country have been invited to attend the meeting.
President Emomali Rahmon will make an annual address to parliament. In his annual address to parliament, the president usually touches upon issues related to domestic and foreign policy of the government as well as socioeconomic development of the country.
