Coordinating Council for Political Situation, Legal Education, Crime Prevention and Patriotism is expected to be set up under the Dushanbe Mayor.
Related Decree was recently signed by the Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidullaev, Mayor’s press service reported.
The Council will be headed by the first deputy Mayor Nasrullo Hairulloev while head of the Administrative and Legal Department Fozil Buriev will hold the position of the Council’s Secretary. The Council will consist of 25 members.
The Decree also covers such issues as the Council’s Charter and plan of events on strengthening of the law and order, strengthening of counter crime efforts, ensuring of citizens’ security and protection of their rights and freedoms on the territory of the capital.
The Council is expected to hold its sessions at the end of each quarter.
