DUSHANBE, December 11, 2013, Asia-Plus – According to the Interior Ministry’s website, Tajik interior minister has ordered police and firefighting units to prepare themselves for abnormal cold weather that is expected to come on December 16 while Tajik Hydromet is still drawing the weather forecast for this period.
According to Tajik Hydromet, temperatures will drop to -2ºC to -7ºC on December 16 and rain and snow are expected.
Meanwhile, foreign weather forecast websites note that on December 16, day temperature in Tajikistan will be +12ºC and on December 17 it will drop to +2ºC (snow is expected on the night of December 16-17). On December 18, the weather in Tajikistan is expected to be fair and temperatures are expected to rise 2ºC or 3ºC.
We will recall that Tajik interior minister on December 12 all the Interior Ministry’s subdivisions and units to prepare themselves for abnormal cold weather that is expected to come on December 16-17.
According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the minister pointed to the necessity of taking measures to ensure safety of traffic and to mitigate effects of possible disasters.
Relevant units of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) were tasked to be ready for providing assistance to the population and mitigating effects of possible disasters, the Interior Ministry’s website said.
