KHUJAND, December 30, 2013, Asia-Plus -- A sports clothing manufacturing enterprises has been launched in Khujand, the capital of the northern province of Sughd.
According to the Sughd regional administration, the enterprise has been established by local entrepreneur Abdukarim Sultonov. A total cost of the project is one million somoni and the enterprise with annually capacity of 10,000 pairs of sports clothing has created 50 new jobs.
The enterprise products will be exported mainly to the Russian Federation and Ukraine, a source at the Sughd regional administration said.
According to data from the Khujand mayor’s office, 15 new industrial enterprises have been introduced into operation in the city over the first eleven months of this year, bringing a total number of industrial enterprises in the city to 87. The enterprises commissioned this year have reportedly created 2,000 new jobs.
