DUSHANBE, February 5, 2014, Asia-Plus – Issues related to further expansion of bilateral economic cooperation of Tajikistan with Belarus and Ukraine were discussed here yesterday at meetings of Tajik Minister of Industry and New Technologies Shavkat Boboyev with chiefs of Belarusian and Ukrainian diplomatic missions.
Boboyev’s meeting with Ukrainian Ambassador to Tajikistan was focused on bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Ukraine in sectors like food industry, mining, leather processing, etc, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT).
Tajik minister also met with Belarusian Ambassador to Tajikistan Olga Gavruk yesterday afternoon. The sides reportedly discussed the project for launching an enterprise in Tajikistan for assembling Belarusian tractors. The enterprise is expected to be established in Khatlon province.
Boboyev and Gavruk also discussed expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in producing electric equipment as well as attraction of Belarusian investments for development of Tajikistan’s economy, a source at a MoINT said.
