DUSHANBE, February 5, 2014, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe mayor’s office will provide extraordinary grants to all city street cleaners within the next few days, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, told Asia-Plus Wednesday afternoon.
According to him, the street cleaners will receive 1,000 somoni each.
“The mayor has expressed gratitude to all street cleaners for their hard labor, especially during winter period, and called on heads of commercial organizations based in Dushanbe to support this initiative,” the spokesman said.
We will recall that Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev on February 3 ordered to prepare a draft decree on raising wages of street cleaners by 1,000 somoni (TJS) during winter period (December-February). 700 somoni will be provided by the city budget and 300 other somoni will be provided by the district budgets.
