QURGHON TEPPA, March 3, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Tajikstandart (Tajik agency for standardization, certification, metrology, and trade inspection) is expected to have its representatives at all main marketplaces in the southern Khatlon province.
“More than 1,000 bottles of non-standard alcohol drinks have been withdrawn from sale duirng inspection carried out at Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) Kuhsori Khatlon,” Ikromiddin Valiyev, the head of Tajikstandart’s office in Khatlon told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, 41 local officials have been implicated in wrongdoing, and administrative action has been imposed upon them.
Valiyev further noted that Tajikstandart would have its representatives at all main marketplaces across the province.
“We have already conducted seminars on observance of rights at the central bazaars in Jomi and Panj districts. In the near future, we will have our representatives at all main bazaars of the province and consumers will be able to apply to them in the case of necessity,” he added.
