DUSHANBE, March 6, 2014, Asia-Plus - On Wednesday March 5, Tajik migration service agency hosted a conference to discuss issues related to implementation of Tajikistan’s national strategy for the outward labor migration of Tajik citizens for the period of 2011-2015.
The conference participants included representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, President’s Executive Office, World Bank Tajikistan Country Office and the International Organization for Migration (IOM)’s Mission in Tajikistan.
As a main source country for labor force, Tajikistan attaches significance to implementation of this strategy.
The migration service agency press center reports that speaking at the conference, Tajik Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment, Ms. Sumangul Taghoyeva, noted that implementation of the national strategy for the outward labor migration of Tajik citizens for the period of 2011-2015Tajik is one of priorities of the government.
Implementation of this strategy will promote regulation of processes related to labor migration and protection of rights of Tajik migrant workers abroad, the minister noted.
