DUSHANBE, April 7, 2014, Asia-Plus – Dushanbe has been making preparations for the Tajik Capital City Day.
The Dushanbe mayor’s office has reportedly allocated more than 202,000 somoni (equivalent to more than 40,000 USD) for organizing the race (21.097 kilometers) and winners among men and women will receive 3,500 U.S. dollars (USD) each. Participants taking the second place will receive 3,000 USD each and participants taking the third place will receive 1,500 USD each.
The Capital City Day is marked in Tajikistan on the third Saturday of April and this year, Dushanbe marks this event on April 19.
