Tajikistan’s foreign debt for 1 April, 2014 totals $2 billion 192.68 million, which is 21.9 per cent of Tajikistan’s GDP. In the beginning of the year, the country’s external debt reached $2 billion, 161.5 million (25.4 per cent of the GDP).
According to Tajikistan’s Ministry of Finance, the total direct government debt, which allows for Government’s services is $1 billion 968.23 million.
State guarantee debt totals $19.51 million, state enterprises debt, which do not have a state guarantee total $31.5 million.
According to Tajikistan’s Statistics Agency, the International Monetary Fund debt to maintain Tajikistan’s balance of payments, which is serviced by the National Bank of Tajikistan, totals $158.41 million.
National Bank’s attracted debt from China totals $15 million.
We will note that the State Budget bill for 2014 689.9 million Samani is allocated for servicing the external debt, including 520.2 million for repayment of principle debt, and 169.7 million Samani for interest payments.
In 2015, 534.8 million Samani and 161.9 million Samani respectfully, and in 2016, 582.5 million Samani and 154.3 million Samani respectfully to be allocated for the abovementioned.
