Since the beginning of 2014, the rate of Dollar increased in Tajikistan by 3.71 per cent.

In the beginning of January of 2014, the market price of the Dollar was TJS 4.93 per USD 1, and today it is 5.12 Samani.

The National Bank of Tajikistan website, reports that the average USD rate on May 22 in Dushanbe exchange offices was TJS 5.1090-5.1280, in Khojand – TJS 5.1200-5.1300, and in Qorghanteppa – TJS 5.10-5.12.

The official USD to TJS rate according to the National Bank of Tajikistan, is TJS 4.91 per USD 1  as of today. The official rate increased by 3 per cent since the beginning of the year.

In the last days, the average rate of the Russian Ruble (RUB) and the EUR has increased a bit and is at TJS 0.1465-0.1475 per RUB 1, and TJS 6.9570-6.9830 per EUR 1.

The National Bank’s monetary policy is based on “managed float without fluctuation limits”, based on which the rate is determined based on supply and demand in the market, and the National Bank intervenes into the currency market only in the cases of excessive fluctuations.
