DUSHANBE, June 10, Asia-Plus -- A forum of youth organizations of Tajikistan will take place in the Tajik northern city of Qairoqqum from June 11-14.
Organized by the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), Tajik Youth Organizations’ Society and the National Association of Volunteers of Tajikistan, the forum is expected to bring together 130 people, including heads and members of Tajik Youth Organizations’ Society, politicians, representatives of president’s office, parliamentarians, public figures, experts and representatives of media.
According to the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, the forum participants will discuss issues related to structure and directions of activities of Tajik Youth Organizations’ Society, the results of work done in 2013, girls’ enrolment in educational facilities, development of volunteer movement in Tajikistan, etc.
The main objective of the forum is promoting further consolidation of youth organizations for active participation of youth in democratization of society, development of youth organizations and formation and strengthening of legal foundation of the volunteer movement in Tajikistan.
