DUSHANBE, July 7, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Indian industrialists are reportedly seeking participation in industrial projects in Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan (MoINT), India’s Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited is interested in operating in Tajikistan.
An official source at a MoINT says this issue was discussed at a meeting of Shavkat Boboyev, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan with Mr. Vishvachit Saha (phonetically pronounced), Head of the Heavy Industry, India’s Ministry of heavy Industry and Public Enterprises.
Top managers of Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited reportedly also attended the meeting. “Indian industrialists were mostly interested in participation in projects aimed at organization of railroad maintenance centers, coal processing, supply of equipment for coal industry, and construction of cement plants in Tajikistan,” the source said.
